To celebrate the launch of her book ‘British Avant-Garde Theatre’ (Palgrave 2012), Claire Warden, Lecturer in Drama at the University of Lincoln, will give a talk focusing on a selection of illustrative examples from the early part of the twentieth century. During this lecture Claire will be grappling with such questions as, ‘How can I make nuclear physics interesting for an audience?’, ‘How can I perform when there are no actors?’ and ‘How can I act the part of a Cockney left foot?
